Per shipping, each printing block ships in a small box with plenty of packaging in order to avoid damage during transit. Thank you and enjoy! IMPRINT: THE OLD FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF MOUNT VERNON (round graphic logo with eagle & shield, assumed to be of The Old First National Bank Of Mount Vernon, Indiana which was a national bank brand in the early to mid 1900’s) in addition to the International Photo-Engravers Union of North America IPEU stamp mark on the side of the wood blockCOMMENTS REGARDING THE PRINTING BLOCKS: This printer’s printing plate / block was purchased as part of a large lot of similar pieces that were likely originally used made and used by a commercial printer that specialized on newspapers, magazines, supplemental paper advertisements, inserts or similar. Original geographic origin is unknown unless the plate is marked with a city but many of the blocks in the lot were for businesses located in and/or around St. Louis, Missouri. Printing blocks are not my specialty so I am unsure of the metals used nor do I feel qualified to comment on the condition as it relates to how well the plate will print and what the final imprint will look like. Please see my general comments below regarding condition, thoroughly review listing photographs AND do your own due diligence regarding the condition of the block before purchasing. CONDITION: Printing blocks are in vintage and/or antique USED worn condition with wear/damage including but not limited to dirt, dust, grime, patina, tarnish, stains, rust, scratches, abrasions, surface finish loss, chips, worn imprint surface details, cracks in the wood, loose metal plates, missing nails, worn down imprint surface, UNKNOWN QUALITY OF IMPRINT AS THEY ARE UNTESTED, uneven edges/surface due to being handmade, dents, dings, uneven shapes, uneven surface textures/finishes, discoloring, loose wood backing, dulling, pitting, dimpling, oxidation, worn down surface, unknown imprint quality, cracks in the wood, missing nails, oxidation, ink residue, patina, tarnish, stains, cracks, splinters, chips, missing nails/fasteners, tape/glue residue, if a block includes a paper label on the back the paper is likely dry rotted/brittle and likely actively flaking off, and overall wear from age and handling.
