This is a $5 chip commemorating the turn of the millenium (remember Y2K?) , and is a great addition to any casino chip collection. Grab this wonderful piece of Vegas History before it is gone! The Golden Nugget was originally built in 1946,making it one of the oldest casinos in Las Vegas. Jackie Gaughan at one time owned a stake in the hotel as part of his many downtown properties. Steve Wynn bought a stake in the Nugget, which he increased so that, in 1973, he became the majority shareholder, and the youngest casino owner in Las Vegas and purchased the neighboring California Club in 1973 and combined the two properties under the former’s banner. In 1977, he opened the first hotel tower and the resort earned its first four-diamond rating from Mobil Travel Guide. It was the foundation for Wynn’s rise to prominence in the casino industry. None of my chips have been professionally graded (except by me) but I am careful to take lots of pictures so you know exactly what you are getting. I use The Chip Rack condition rating system, and I price in accordance with the Chip Rack Price Guide, 22nd edition (SSS publishing and available on at: www.thechiprack.com) criteria, and also current market conditions. I try very hard to remain competitive with my prices. All my individual chips come in a protective coin case so there will be no damage. I have attempted to give accurate information regarding condition and to disclose any defects, stains, etc. I take plenty of pictures to give you an accurate idea of condition. Please look at the pictures! I typically take side 1, side 2, edge and in protective case pictures. My own personal condition rating is what you see, and it’s based upon the Casino Collectibles Association rating system (New, Slightly Used, Average, Well-Used and Poor). Keep in mind that the condition is in the eyes of the collector, so look closely at the photographs. If you are unhappy with a chip, I will refund your purchase price upon return. MY SHIPPING POLICY IS VERY SIMPLE: I ship by USPS Ground Advantage. If I receive payment by 2:00 PM Las Vegas time the shipment will go out that day. If payment received after that time it will be shipped the next business day, Saturday & Sunday or NOT BUSINESS DAYS. NOTE: I DO combine shipping on casino chip orders. Full postage for first chip, $1 for each additional chip purchased at the same time. If EBay doesn’t deduct postage, I will give you a refund on the extra postage. Please note, I am OCD careful with packing and shipping. All items come in bubble envelopes with bubble wrap or cardboard protectors. It costs a bit more to send, but I find it is worth it to take care. I use EBay calculated shipping, so your postage is collected by EBay and is based on your location.
