Description Fender Custom Shop 2023 Summer Event Limited Nocaster Thinline w/Bigsby Relic (Aged Natural) [SN.CZ575510] This guitar was exhibited at the Fender Custom Shop event in the summer of 2023! A relic-finished Nocaster Thinline with a hollow ash body and Bigsby bridge! The Telecaster is the origin of Fender guitars. Before the Telecaster was called the Telecaster, it was released in the early 1950s under the model name Broadcaster, but at the time the name Broadcaster was a trademark of Gretsch, so the model name decal was quickly cut out and it was shipped with only the Fender logo. The guitar, which did not have a model name for a while, was commonly called Nocaster by collectors and was popular as a rare model. After that, the Telecaster model name was printed on it and it has remained that way ever since. This guitar has a two-piece ash hollow body and is lacquered in Aged Natural color, and the F-holes combine to create a superb sound and beautiful looks. In addition, the side of the neck joint and the cutaway side of the body joint of a normal Nocaster are not flush, but the body side protrudes slightly, but this one has a flat finish with no step between the two surfaces. The neck is made of quarter-sawn (straight grain) one-piece maple. The neck shape is a Large C, with a smooth C-shape finish, but the thick grip gives it a strong sense of adhesion when you grip it. For customers who like thicker necks, it feels like an easy-to-play grip, and it is a fat neck with excellent playability different from the Nocaster U shape. The hardware is equipped with a Bigsby bridge with RSD bridge specifications equipped with custom shop original brass saddles, and the 2-way brass saddles that support the 1-3 strings and 4-6 strings create a direct sound that does not scatter. The machine heads are vintage type Kluson pegs. The live sound of the custom shop, which goes beyond the line among Fenders, is characterized by the clarity of the bolt-on structure, and the airiness and thickness of the sound when output from the amplifier are truly on another level. Furthermore, the relic finish gives the guitar a great sound, and you can feel the vibration of the body and neck just by playing one chord. The overwhelming sound is so comfortable that you can play it forever without outputting it to an amplifier, and it is a quality that can only be experienced in a custom shop with a satisfying playing feel. All of the pickups that reproduce this wonderful sound are hand-wound. Compared to regular machine-wound pickups, the impression is that the amplifier outputs a rich, acoustic atmosphere with rich overtones. This model is equipped with a Hand-Wound Loaded ’51 Nocaster, which outputs the player’s style and habits as they are, such as finger picking that makes use of the twangy and firm tone, sharp cutting produced by chopping picking, and thick, glossy, clear arpeggios. The controls are simple wiring for the master volume and master tone using a wax paper capacitor, but the regular pot is not a vintage type with a navel, and the torque when turned is a little heavy. In addition, all screws, including the truss rod and nut, are flathead screws, and the vintage specifications that tickle the hearts of enthusiasts are still alive and well.
