Our BN4X-GMRS antenna is tuned by hand to provide absolute maximum communications performance with real certified results over a specific and guaranteed 462-468 MHz frequency range for the UHF GMRS Radio Service. This antenna will have a final VSWR of 1.20:1 or less across the whole 462-468 MHz frequency range as shown in the VSWR graph and is only 2.8 inches tall ±0.12 inches for tuning variances. Our tuned antennas consistently outperform known-brand OEM antennas and all other mass produced portable antennas from other sellers. KNOWN FACTS: a BIG or BIGGER antenna is usually NOT better, it is just really BIG ! This antenna is compatible with any UHF portable 2-way radio, radio scanner, or mobile magnetic antenna mount that uses a female BNC RF jack for the antenna connection. Many older Motorola, ICOM, Kenwood, Uniden, Yaesu, and Vertex brand radio models use antennas with the BNC male type connector.
