Ultra-High quality HYPERBOND Triple-Distilled THIN CA Glue from CA PLUS Adhesives. A SINGLE 16 oz (ONE POUND net weight) bottle of cyanoacrylate “super glue” for builders and hobbyists. This is water-thin for wicking into cracks and tightly-fitting parts. Brand new, sealed, and fresh. Comes in a high-quality bottle with a “Yorker” dispensing tip. Made in the USA! This is a LOT of glue! You can certainly use it to refill a regular 2-oz glue bottle EIGHT TIMES to save money. By the way, you can avoid mess and clogs by using my disposable glue tips with the smaller bottles! (I sell the disposable tips separately, see my other store items). Contains 16oz (1 pound) net weight of glue, not volume. For best results, store CA in a cool dry place. Refrigeration is ideal to maintain the best quality and achieve the longest storage life. Do not freeze. In addition to being a great deal, this is the good stuff. Do you know, 2oz bottles of CA glue go for about $6 on line (and often much higher in Hobby Shops) so this 16-oz bottle is equivalent to at least $48 retail. Plus you don’t have to pay for shipping over and over again, so you can save a few bucks that way too! Which kind do you need? Basically – the thicker the viscosity, the slower the glue dries and the better it is at gap filling. Thin CA should be used with very tight joints – it wicks deep into hairline cracks and will be absorbed into porous materials. Medium CA is the best all-purpose type for bonding most close-fitting items together. Thick CA is especially good for loose-fitting items, or porous and rough items, and for laminating. More information (blah blah blah): TECHNICAL NOTES: Serving the industrial market for more than 30 years, CA Plus industrial glue is from their “advance performance series” of adhesives, and is triple distilled and made in the USA. This high-quality Mil-Spec CA will form excellent bonds on a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials. This product is brand new and sealed, offered for sale here by RabidModels. Triple-distilled CA glues are the best you can buy – they have the longest shelf life and have stronger bonds due to less impurities. Don’t use inferior foreign-made glue! My CA is MADE IN THE USA and I have three different kinds listed on ebay: SI-5 (Thin) is a water-thin CA that wicks deeply into tight joints by capillary action. Excellent for use with balsa since the glue will penetrate into the wood fibers and porous materials, forming more than just a surface bond. Sets relatively quickly, usually in less than 5 seconds.SI-750 (Medium) is a medium viscosity CA for joints where a small gap must be bridged. Sets in about 8-15 seconds. Medium is an excellent all-purpose adhesive.SI-1500 (Thick) is twice as thick as the medium and is excellent for gap filling, for porous or rough surfaces, and for laminating difficult to glue materials such as plywood or fiberglass. It takes longer to dry and sets in about 20-30 seconds.SI stands for “surface insensitive” and this kind of CA is specifically designed to bond many kinds of materials extremely well, including dissimilar materials and materials that you may have found difficult to bond with inferior CA glue, such as plywood for example. The thicker the glue, the longer it takes to dry. (For plywood, the thicker grades are better. Thin grades are best for porous surfaces and very tight joints.) NOTE: Regular CA is NOT foam-safe.
