Þ The deep hex socket allows for more consistent torque Þ Factory takedown screws require a flat head screwdriver which often slips and can damage the stock. Hex sockets do not slip. Þ The Raven Eye Custom product is a “Kit”, not just a screw. It includes many extras that are not included in the other brands such as the vibration dampening rings. Þ The length of the screw has been maximized to provide the most stability while preventing contact between the barrel and the takedown screw. Other vendors offer a T-handle hex driver together with their takedown screw.
