Beautiful very rare twin fusee library bracket clock with stunning patina and colour to the wonderful ebonised finish The case is made of solid wood with this stunning patina ebonised finish which gives this absolutely amazing display finish The clock has a classic library clock design with the glass panels on all sides and top with thick bevelled edged panes and all in excellent condition, It also has a glazed front and back door both with locks and key Case is in excellent original condition for age and looks stunning on display with a good age patina​ 8″ Silvered dial with engraved roman numerals & spandrels to the corners, signed by the maker A.B Savory & Sons of Cornhill London who dates from C1839 – 1863 Engraved Roman numerals and original steel hands Dial is in excellent original condition and looks fantastic Rare English 8 day twin fusee bell striking movement with original anchor escapement which comes with its original brass fusee pendulum The movement strikes the bell the amount of hours on each hour Original fusee pendulum and a new brass winding key Movement has been professionally serviced and is in full working order keeping good time and striking as it should ​ ​The clock has great proportions and measures 15.5 inches high x 12.25 inches wide x 7.5 inches deep​ Antique English A.B Savory London 8 Day Twin Fusee 5 Glass Library Bracket Clock Description Main reasons why you should purchase your antique clock from Times & Chimes Ltd !!! Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go, some clocks will need the extra adjustments and setting into beat so please remember you may require a professional for initial setup before bidding. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems unless stated in the add as they are tested vigorously before sending.
