Product Condition Description:This comes to you in overall excellent antique condition. There are no cracks or chips that we found. There are 2 holes for mounting just below the knockers hinge point, but no hardware is included. It appears to have come with a heavy coat of varnish that has diminished of the decades. It comes with decades worth of dirt and dust with a heavy patina as you can see in the pictures, but we feel this adds to its antique charm and we have not attempted to clean.

This heavy door knocker was most likely made around the early 1900’s and would be perfect for your Colonial Style home or mansion. This very ornate and detailed knocker symbolizes protection. The eagle’s head is turned to the side with his wings spread and a large round strike plate with a star on it.
