Surrounded by British and German-Turkish troops, cut off from the RSFSR and other Soviet republics, Baku finds itself in a blockade ring. The leaders of the Baku Council are forced to surrender power to the interventionists, which leads to the arrest and tragic death of the leaders of the Baku commune – twenty-six commissars (Shaumyan, Japaridze, Azizbekov and others).     ☆  Vladimir Samoylov,                ☆ Melik Dadashev,             ☆ Tengiz Archvadze    www.imdb.com/title/tt0383329/ LYKYANOV MIRON VLADIMIROVICH (1936 – 2007) – Soviet and Russian poster artist, teacher. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1970). Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1993). Lukyanov Miron Vladimirovich was born on July 19, 1936 in the city of Moscow in the family of the architect Lukyanov V.D. From 1943 to 1949 he studied at school, from 1949 to 1954 he studied at the Moscow Art School at the Institute named after Surikov, and in 1954 he entered the Moscow State Art Institute named after Surikov and graduated from it in 1960 with honors in the specialty of poster, studied under M.M. Cheremnykh and N.A. Ponomarev. In the 60s he worked a lot in film posters. Miron Vladimirovich created posters for the outstanding Soviet films “Andrei Rublev”, “White Sun of the Desert”, “Once Again About Love”, “Clear Sky”, “I, Grandma, Iliko and Illarion”. Since the beginning of the 70s, he has been mainly engaged in social and political posters, collaborating with the publishing houses “Iskusstvo” and “Plakat”. Miron Vladimirovich was a member of the Moscow Union of Artists since 1963, Participated in regional, republican, all-Union, international exhibitions of posters, exhibitions of Soviet posters abroad; repeatedly became their laureate, was awarded with honorary diplomas and prizes. A wonderful artist, an experienced teacher, he actively participated in the education and training of young graphic artists, in the development of the main programs and methodological guidelines of the department. His pedagogical experience was embodied in a number of scientific and educational-methodical works published by him. The works of Miron Vladimirovich of the last decade had a pronounced socio-political character. Posters such as “Maybe this is a place for me”, “Come to the country of Marlboro”, “Help the culture”, “Person of the Year” in a peculiar artistic manner demonstrate the acute contradictions of the new life in Russia. Theatrical posters are full of reflections on the place of the individual in society, the conflict nature of our world, its paradoxicality. Posters dedicated to the quality and competitiveness of Russian products were originally made. The work of Lukyanov Miron Vladimirovich clearly testifies to the uniqueness of his talent, which is a real witness to our history and modernity. One of those who introduced a new aesthetics, a new plastic idea and beauty to the political poster. As a rule, this was not in the posters of that time. The poster artists of the older generation are being replaced by young artists: V. S. Karakashev, L. Ya. Levshunova, M. V. Lukyanov, V. I. Ostrovsky – the “Cheremnykh people” of the last wave, who breathed new aesthetic thinking into the poster world. The posters created by  Lukyanov are present in the collection of the Fine Arts of the Russian State Library (RSL), the State Center for Contemporary Art, the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics (MMK), the Vologda State Museum-Reserve, the State Literary Museum, the Saratov Regional Museum of Local History (SOMK), the State Exhibition Center “ROSIZO” The State Central Cinema Museum, the Nevyansk State Historical and Architectural Museum (NGIAM), the Yaroslavl Art Museum, the Museum of the History of Kronstadt, the Gusevsky Museum of History and Local Lore named after A.M. Ivanov, the Efremov Regional Art and Local Lore Museum (ERHKM), private galleries and collections. LINK    CHANTSEV ALEXANDER VASILIEVCIH (1949 – 2002) Alexander Chantsev was born in 1949 in the city of Torun, Poland. In 1973 he graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (formerly the Stroganov School) with a degree in Artistic Ceramics. The second prize of the International Olympic Poster Competition in 1980 gave impetus to the work in the poster genre. Several years of fruitful work in the circus poster followed, and during this period the individual style and technique of Alexander Chantsev gradually developed. In 1989 he was admitted to the Union of Artists. The film posters brought the artist international fame. Solo exhibitions of film posters by Alexander Chantsev took place in Rome in 1991 (together with Yuri Boxer) as part of the exhibition of Soviet film posters, which was held in the largest exhibition hall of the city – Palazzo delle Esposizioni. In 2001, an exhibition of movie posters by Chantsev, Boxer and Maistrovsky was held in the city of Tavira (Portugal). Alexander Chantsev took part in the largest exhibitions of Soviet and Russian posters, regularly participated in international biennials in Warsaw, Lahti, Colorado, Brno, took part in a poster exhibition in the Louvre (1989), the International Poster Festival in Chaumont, France (1991), in the exhibitions “ Russian social poster “in the USA (1991-92),” Perestroika. Glasnost ”in Japan (1991-92), was awarded with diplomas of various competitions, a diploma of the finalist of the European competition of advertising EPICA in Paris (1992). Exhibitions of posters, in which Alexander Chantsev participated, have traveled almost all over the world, the originals and prints have ended up in the most famous galleries and in private collections in the USA, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Czech Republic. However, the rise of poster art, which took place thanks to perestroika and the resulting freedom, gradually ended, and interest in the poster was largely lost. New times have come when the emerging market relations have made completely different demands on artists. I had to master new genres – advertising booklets, annual reports, logos, corporate styles – and face a different customer. For the last seven years of his life, Alexander Chantsev was engaged in the design of exhibition stands, working as the art director of the Expoline company. It was a new business, and gradually the festive atmosphere of the exhibitions captured Alexander Chantsev entirely. Possessing tremendous efficiency and real professionalism, he managed to create many interesting exhibition stands for such companies as Lucent Technologies, Avaya, Alcatel, A&T Trade, KRKA, Shreya, Orimi Trade, Sunway, Mobile TeleSystems. Nevertheless, in Russia and the world, Alexander Chantsev is known primarily as a brilliant poster artist who belonged to a remarkable generation of artists. And the soft, good-natured humor of his circus posters, the philosophical metaphors of the movie posters, the sharp, satirical images of political posters will forever remain in our memory.
